Over 500 people participate in Color Run for a good cause
Over 500 people got doused in colored powered for a good cause. On April 26, the West Mifflin Area School District held a Color Run Fun, inviting all community members, students, friends, and family to complete a 5K Color Run to kick off Mental Health Awareness month. The Color Run was put on by the the West Mifflin Area Middle School SAVE (Students Against Violence Everywhere) Promise Club & Student Council. All proceeds from the event will benefit the SAVE Promise and Student Council Clubs. The theme of the Color Run was mental health awareness. There were a number of stations during the Color Run that raised mental awareness. Additionally, the SAVE Promise Club put on a quick presentation that raised mental health awareness before the event.
